Day 1

Departure

 

Check-in at Airport for your departure flight.

Day 2

Chengdu   (Dinner)  Hotel: West Century Holiday Inn (5-star)

 

Arrive Chengdu and transfer to the hotel for a good rest.

Day 4

Chengdu - Lhasa   (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  Hotel: Brahmaputra Grand Hotel (5 star)

 

Morning fly to Lhasa, the largest city of Tibet. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and balance of the day take a good rest to adjust to the plateau environment.

Day 5

Lhasa   (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  Hotel: Brahmaputra Grand Hotel (5 star)

 

After breakfast, visit the Potala Palace, included in the UNESCO's World Heritage list and the symbol of Qinhai-Tibet plateau built in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. Visit Halls with many gorgeous historical artworks and precious culture relics. Afternoon visit another UNESCO's World Heritage listed site - the Jokhang Temple, the sacred place for every Buddhists. Famous for the golden top and history recording on steles between the King of Tibet and the Emperor of Tang. Step out from the Temple and take a leisure walk along the Barkhor Street. Once an ancient street surrounding the Jokhang Temple. Now turn into a new symbol of Tibet, becoming a showcase of shops, bars & floating stands.

Day 6

Lhasa   (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  Hotel: Brahmaputra Grand Hotel (5 star)

 

Morning visit one of the Three Great Monasteries of Tibet - the Drepung Monastery. There are four major buildings. Ganden Potrang was the residence of the 2nd to 5th Dalai Lamas. Others are Coqen Hall, Tantric colleges, and Kamcuns. An exquisite statues of Kwan-yin (Lady Buddha) is housed in the Monastery. Afternoon tour the Norbulinka Palace. 'Norbu Linka' means beautiful garden. It is the annual vacation palace for the 7th to the 14th Dalai Lama. In the evening, enjoy a Tibet cultural show.

Day 7

Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse   (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  Hotel: Shigatse Hotel (Locally best)

 

After breakfast, drive to the 2nd largest city of Tibet - Shigatse with stop at the 3rd largest city of Tibet - Gyantse. On the way, visit the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet. At Gyantse, visit the 500 years old Palkhor Chode Monastery, a complex composed of 16 monasteries of the three different sects: Gelugpa, Sakyapa and Bhoton. Inside the main assembly Hall of Bodhi Dagoba house about ten thousand figures of Buddha. It is also named as 'Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda'. Arrive Shigatse in the evening and check in hotel.   

 Day 8

Shigatse - Lhasa   (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)  Hotel: Brahmaputra Grand Hotel (5 star)

 

Shigatse is the cultural, economic and political center of Tibet. In the morning, visit Tashihunpo Monastery which is the official seat of the Panchen Lama. Main structure consists of the Maitreya Chapel, the Panchen Lama's Palace, and the Kelsang Temple. Inside is a sitting Buddha stands over 25 meters high and decorated with gold, silver, pearl, and many other precious metals. The Kelsang Temple is a place for lamas to learn the sutra, listen to the Panchen Lama's sermon, practice and debate. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa. 

Day 9

Lhasa - Chengdu - Hong Kong   (Breakfast)  Hotel: Royal Plaza (5-star)  

 

Today, fly to Hong Kong - Pearl of the Orient. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 10

Hong Kong   (Breakfast)   Hotel: Royal Plaza (5-star)  

 

This morning enjoy a Hong Kong Island tour including the famous Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen fishing village, and a jewelry factory. Afternoon free for your shopping and other enjoyment or tours with this dynamic city. 

Day 11

Hong Kong - Home  (Breakfast)                                                                                                    To top 

  Today bid farewell with all your fond memories and fly back to your sweet Home land.
